********************* TARS History on DVD*******************
We now have 2 historical short films that were made in conjunction with TARS, TVA, and The United States Coast Guard on DVD. These films were made in the early 1970's. The first movie titled "Not By a Damsite" is about TVA Dams and their dangers to boats. The second movie titled "Inland Water Search Rescue and Recovery" is about dragging operations and recovery. Both movies are just over 15 minutes long. These historical movies are great to watch and despite being approximately 40 years old, a lot of the the information covered in them is still being used today.
Copies are available for purchase.
Cost is $10 per DVD to pick up at the office. Or we can mail them to you for an additional charge of $2 per DVD.They will also be available at the Region Meetings in June.
For more information, please contact Stacy at the State Office at 865-689-3256 or stacy@tnars.org.

“On behalf of the Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads, it is with deep regret that we must announce that State Training Coordinator Rusty Williams has recently been charged with some personal circumstances involving allegations of wrongdoing. TARS believes strongly that everyone is innocent until proven guilty, and to maintain the integrity and trust of the public we serve, the state officers are waiting until the issue is resolved with the Justice System before deciding on any course of action(s). It should be noted that these allegations of wrongdoing are personal in nature and have nothing to do with the TARS organization, its operations, and the activities performed by Mr. Williams on behalf of our organization.”
John Weaver
State President
