We will be hosting a live/online update of the new TARS Awareness/Operations Level Extrication Course which has been approved by the TN Commission on Firefighting as approved training on Saturday July 20th, 2019 at the Doubletree Hotel in Murfreesboro from 9am-12pm CST for any instructor(s). We will be doing this event the same as we did the updates in April. We will be live streaming the online portion as the live portion is being performed. This particular event is VEHICLE EXTRICATION ONLY. EVOC and BBP Instructors will attend a seperate event to make-up their missed renewal on a date TBD.

Who should attend?:

1. Any instructor(s) due for renewal in 2019 who missed the online and live updates offered in April. If you attend either the live or online portion of the event, you will be allowed to renew your instructor rating for the normal bi-annual fee of $30 for the live event and $40 for the online event and I will waive the reinstatement fee if done during this event.
2. Any instructor(s) who are not do for renewal in 2019 but are interested in seeing the new program and being able to teach it prior to their update in 2020. Note: ATTENDING THIS UPDATE DOES NOT RELIEVE YOU OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ATTEND YOUR SCHEDULED 2020 UPDATE! Any instructor who renews in 2020 can attend either the live or online update at no charge.

Important Info and Registration:

If you are renewing your instructor rating due to missing your scheduled update in April of 2019, you will need to contact the State Office and make arrangements for payment of your bi-annual instructor fee prior to attendance online/live. After payment arrangements have been made you may either attend the live version at the hotel or register by the link below for the online version. This is a pre-paid event only. No fees will be collected at the live site.

If you are not due to renew in 2019 or attending for new program updates, you may register for the online version as stated below or arrive on site and view the update live.

Below is the link for participants to register for the online event. This is NOT the link to the event, but instead the link to register for the online webinar. Please use the email you will be checking and logging into the event with when you register. To register: click the link below, enter your information, and then you will receive a follow-up email with instructions on how to join the webinar on the day of the event (the link to enter the webinar will be emailed to you seperately at the email address you enter during registration from GoToWebinar...not the TARS State Office). You should receive a reminder email 1 day before and another email 1 hour before the event is scheduled to start (0900 CST). You should also be able to watch it from your mobile device or a computer. This registration method allows us to track attendance and see who is watching the online format.
