The S.O.M.E. Advanced Tactics Extrication Course is an 8 hour all hands-on course that has "some" of everything. From controlled vehicle movement, strut tactics, heavy lifting, controlled rolls, and efficient low manpower tactics. This class is limited to 30 students.

S.O.M.E. Advanced Extrication Tactics Course

The new Advanced Level Extrication Course has "some" of everything and is an 8 hour hands-on class. Extrication principles learned in the Basic (NFPA Awareness and Operations Level) Extrication Program are built upon to enhance the rescuer’s efficiency and performance in unique and challenging scenarios based off of real-life situations. This course offers tactics involving controlled rolls, vehicle movement, heavy lifting, advanced strut tactics, and low manpower solutions to making efficient and effective patient access.

Course Length: 8 hours

CEHs: 8

Pre-requisites: Must have current Basic (Awareness/Operations Level) Extrication Certification

Required PPE: NFPA approved structural firefighting gear or extrication jumpsuit / technical rescue gear, helmet, secondary eye protection, leather type gloves or extrication type gloves, hard sole shoes preferably steel toe or any NFPA approved type boot.

Location: Music Road Hotel and Convention Center, 303 Henderson Chapel Rd, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863, USA

Times: 8 am-5 pm EST

Cost: 

TARS Full Unit Member: $85 per student

TARS Associate Member: $150 per student

Non-TARS Member: $200 per student

Note: All registrations received up to two weeks prior to the start date of the class will be at the normal pricing. Any registration received during the period two-week period prior to the start date of the course will incur an additional $20 processing fee regardless of member, associate member, or non-member registration.
